This boss is so much of a jerk that he deserves an entry dedicated entirely to him. To start off he's got a Shattered Halls/Dragonhawk Boss in ZA style hallway leading up to him. Twice as deadly though. When you start the encounter Skadi hops on his drake and flies off. At this point several mobs come running down the hallway.

The goal is to kill the mobs fast and move up the hallway killing as many mobs at a time as you can. You have to be fast because you keep getting adds 2 at a time every few seconds. Some of the NPCs drop harpoons, which someone in the group has to pick up and use to shoot the boss when he's in range of the harpoon launchers. You're going to need to do this a few times and eventually he'll get off his drake and come attack the group himself. While he's still flying he'll randomly freeze half of the path. You want to move out of the way of this because it can pretty much kill anything instantly except for the tank, and it takes off most of my health as well. I know this because one of the mobs threw a net at me and I was unable to move in time. It's really not something you want to get caught in.

Once he lands the adds stop, so finish off any mobs that you're already fighting while being sure to grab the boss if you're the tank. This is where things get easier...sort of. He hits fairly hard, but he can be disarmed! As usual, keep TC and Demoralizing shout up if you're a warrior tank. They help a lot, but that should go without saying. :) At some point he's going to start whirlwinding - and this is where I screwed up the first time I did this fight. I assumed it was a whirlwind that you could run away from and he'd stay put. It's not. It's also not a whirlwind where he follows the tank around. It's a whirlwind where he does it and runs after a random person in the raid who has to run away. I don't think he can do it to the tank, or at least he hasn't done it to me in the 3 times I've done the encounter.

After the whirlwind he'll come running back to the tank. This is probably a good time to disarm him. If everyone can get away from the whirlwind it's an easy fight, but the hard part is getting through that stupid hallway. The good news? If you can kill Skadi, you can definitely kill the final boss of the instance. He's much easier, but don't take him lightly! He hits like a train, but he can be disarmed as well!

I survived Turkey Day after all. Hope everyone else out there had a nice turkey day. And to those who don't celebrate it...Well, I hope you just had a nice day. :)

I got some more screenshots put together for you all.

And, not that anybody here has any idea what I'm talking about, but for the first time in like...forever...I updated my blog. Not this blog, the OTHER blog. The one about me. Weird. Well, it's 7:38AM now, and I've got things to do today. Zombie Naissa ftl. Have a nice day! :)

So this morning I managed to hit level 80 on the cow. All of my other characters still sit happily at level 70. Leveling up to 80 as protection was actually quite fun. A little bit slower than arms or fury would have been, but definitely fun.

I've done a few instances so far, Azjol'Nerub being my favorite, no surprise there. I've been hoping for a Nerubian dungeon for like...forever.

Well, it's turkey day so I'm off to visit family. (Bah!) Have a nice day.

Trying something new here. Hope it works.  :)

I started out in Borean Tundra (There's nothing boring about Borean!) and had lots of fun with it. Last night I ran out of quests there except for a single group quest and I don't have any lead-ins to another zone. Maybe I missed something? Going to go check out Howling Fjord now and see how that goes. My only experience with it so far is what I saw when I first arrived in the zone. All I know is that the starting town there looks sinister. Not in a cute way like my Sinister Squashling.

The leveling goes SLOWLY. I'm level 72 at the moment and I *MIGHT* hit 73 today but I'm not promising anything. There are already level 80s on my server. The first level 80 was a human priest. Second was a Blood Elf Paladin I believe. Crazy, because I know its going to be a week or more before I hit 80, mostly due to my work schedule I think. While I am having fun with the new quests, I'm not really having fun with the leveling - Possibly because I JUST finished leveling my latest character a month before WotLK hit. So I'm just not "into it" so far. I'll get there though because I'm really looking forward to the level 80 content.

Right, so, pictures. Trying something new. Working on integrating a gallery into the posts to make these mass picture posts easier, but until then, click here for pictures. :)

Now that my Tauren Warrior of Super Ultimate Cuteness is raiding, what am I going to do until WotLK? And what am I going to do when WotLK is released?

Prior to WotLK:

Do as much Kara/ZA/Gruul/etc as possible.
    Get a bloody epic shield.
Start leveling a druid, probably tauren.
Learn more about Inscription. (Banana Shoulders has a great Inscription Guide)
Get over this stupid flu. (THE PLAGUE!)

Things to do when WotLK is released:

    Level Cowssa
    Level Warlock
    Level Drood
    Level Hunter
Level inscription on one of the above
    Avoid Death Knights.

I WILL be leveling Naissa, but the tauren is getting level priority. I've heard a rumor that some of my friends would like me to level through instances with them on Naissa and I'll gladly do that.

I'm looking at something like this:

or

For when the patch hits. I'll probably end up with something more cookie cutter as time goes by, but for now its probably going to be one of those too. I'll definitely do a lot of playing around with my spec (Which could get expensive :( ) once the patch hits.

Just a couple days left...and I can't wait. :D

I'm still here, theres just nothing really super exciting going on. I should have a tanking tips post coming later today though.

So for any item links PRIOR to this post, mousing over them will result in 2 tooltips. Item links after this post will only show one tooltip. Doing it any other way breaks the links. QQ!

I got my WAR discs Yesterday at around 3:30PM or so. (Its 1:40AM here atm)

I quickly went to install it and create an account but I couldn't create my account until midnight. Boo Hiss. So I went back to doing everything I had to do yesterday and at midnight I went through the account creation process.

After that I was able to log-in and start patching. The patch was a pretty decent size but patching was quick and there were no issues. I was a little bit unsure of what to expect and was a little worried that I might not like the game.

Ever heard the WoW thing "You had me at Zug-Zug.", I think maybe its a female orc /flirt. WAR had me at..Well...This:

So. Awesome. I always thought Blizzard had the best cinematics, but this is definitely up there in quality. I loved it, and I especially liked that what I would be playing (Race/Class (Whatever classes are called in this game. I should RTFM.)) was displayed in all its glory right there.

I've decided that I'm going to be a Chaos Chosen. Here is why:

Tzeentch expects his Champions to be both ferocious warriors and cunning tacticians. As a result, Chosen who excel in these areas are granted profane rewards. These Dark Gifts allow the Chosen to manipulate the ruinous power of Chaos itself. While this provides them with ever greater strength, it also continually strips away any remnants of humanity that may still reside in the dark recesses of their memories. These Dark Gifts supplement the warrior?s awesome martial skills, increasing their durability, strength and even allowing them to harness the Winds of Magic.

Above all else, as a Chosen Champion, you will seek the esteem of Tzeentch. Yours is an arduous path, forever seeking out greater glory in the eyes of the Raven God by playing a crucial role in his terrible schemes and cruel manipulations. Encased in a blasphemous panoply of heavy armor, you will endeavor to place yourself on the front line of every battle, where you will bring to bear the power of your Dark Gifts against your foes. You will also often be called upon to protect the insignificant or the weak, not as an act of compassion, but rather in service to the inscrutable machinations of your treacherous god.

Seriously, how awesome is that? Thats just awesome.

Pros:
Completely Awesome
Everything I ever wanted in a warrior type class
Have I mentioned they sound completely awesome?

Cons:
Have to be a male character. (Though the male "human" (They look human) models in WAR aren't as hideous as the ones in WoW..So its ok!)

I'm not entirely sure which server I'll be playing on yet (I hope to play on the same server as some friends of mine, and I don't know which server they're going to be on.) so I didn't make my Chosen yet. No point in leveling something up a couple levels just to start over as the same thing. So I made a caster type character and played around with that for a bit.

The graphics are nice, the interface is great, the camera and controls (Something I have HUGE issues with in RPGs) are good too. The combat system is a lot like WoW's...as are the controls and camera and...pretty much everything. The quest interface is better than WoW's by far, at least I think so. So far I'm loving it.

You'll know more when I know more!

In WAR!

Why in WAR and not WarCraft? Well...I cancelled.

Lets take some questions.

OMG What does this mean?
WoW bores me. The beta (I got 2 beta keys btw, looking for a home for one.) has been interesting but not interesting enough to make me keep playing. I'm not really liking the direction they're going with warriors. The class is entirely different and is something other than the class that I love playing. The DPS aspect of it is dead to me (I don't want to go around swinging 2 Two-Handed Weapons), PvP is bizarre now, and the tanking feels more like paladin tanking than warrior tanking and while a lot of warriors may think thats a good thing, I personally can't stand it.

Ok, but what does that mean for Naissa's RAGE?
Nothing really. As long as I'm playing something I'll have something to talk about and this domain will justify its cost and existance to me. I'm pretty sure I can RAGE in WAR. Plus I've still got around a month of WoW time!

So does this mean that if we find a Naissa in WAR, it could be you?
Nope. I'm going to pick new names, completely different from my WoW names. Naissa can stay in WoW, on Rexxar, dead by the darnassus bank (In true roleplayer fashion!) until I either decide I don't like WAR as much as I liked WoW (Which would be difficult considering I don't really care for WoW at all right now.) or Blizzard does something amazing that makes me renew my account. I still plan to renew for WotLK and play around there for a bit but I don't think I'll get much out of it.

Can I have your account/gold/gems and other shiny valuables from your bank alt?
This is mostly directed at people who know me in game. No. I'd much rather keep my account the way I left it. Last thing I need is to get the desire to play again only to come back to discover I'm banned because someone did something stupid with it. Or that all my gear/gems are wrong and not the way I like them/left them. Plus I'd have to mail you my authenticator, and if that got lost...Well. Yeah. Fucked.

I think that about covers it.

See you in WAR!
