2 days to get your entries in!! Gogo!

Also, Barrens chat is just...blech!

By 2 days I mean "You have until June 7th", Thank you for pointing out that I R STUPID. :P

Yes..Yes I did spend 40k honor on [Medallion of the Alliance]. O.o

In other news, Blizzard has informed my friend from the previous post that they will not be restoring his items so he's just going to have to live with the gold. He's playing AoC now. Going to miss him.

For all the complaining about the GMs that goes on, I've had very few complaints. I've always found them to be helpful. They've almost always resolved my issues quickly.

My first ever run in with a GM was when a mod that I was using bugged out and vendored my gear when I tried to swap gear while I had a repair vendor's window up. This was at level 60 and it was long LONG before the buy-back the last 12 items feature was implemented. It took them maybe a week to restore my items. I logged in one day and there were all my items (All blues but they were nice at the time!) CoD for their vendor cost.

Then I had a character that I didn't like so I deleted her but awhile later changed my mind and got her back. Blizzard was very understanding and very helpful and I was thankful that they helped me.

More recently I was doing Karazhan and we killed Curator, looted our badges, got disconnected and came back to discover the badges weren't in our bags and weren't on curator. We all opened tickets. Everyone else got their badges back after a few days but my GM told me that he couldn't restore my badges. So once other people started getting theirs back I opened another ticket and pointed this out and within hours got my badges.

Our Main Tank's account got stolen, all his gear and gold and bags and everything were gone. Except his PvP and rep gear that couldn't be vendored. His gear was back in a week. Gems and all intact I believe. No gold and no bags though. Still it was good that he got all his gear back because it took him a LONG time to get that gear.

A friend of mine stopped playing about 6 months ago and recently came back to discover that their characters were all naked and goldless. I kind of expected this because a few months ago one of their characters signed on and wasn't speaking in the way that was normal for this person. Lots of "u" instead of "you" which is totally not like my friend. I had no way of contacting them though to tell them that someone was on their account. So now theres the usual process of contacting blizzard and requesting help. At first Blizzard said that they weren't sure how it would go because it had been so long ago but then they said they would do a full restore.

Today they sent an email saying that they couldn't find a record of all the gear so they would compensate with gold instead. At this point in time I would be furious if it happened to me. No matter how much gold they gave me. They could give me 10,000g per character on my account and it wouldn't make up for what was lost and all the hours spent acquiring it. I'd like to think that I'm not an unreasonable person. I just can't put a price in gold on all the things I have. How do you put a gold price on a [Swift Zulian Tiger]? Or even if that was still there how do you put a price on all the heroic mech runs it took me to get my Sun Eater, or the months of karazhan it took to get King's Defender? The hundreds of badges I've farmed, the thousands and thousands of honor/arena points spent? Pretty much the only stuff I could replace with gold would be my crafted items and I've only got like 4 of those.

They offered 350g per level 70 character on the account and considerably less for all characters under 70. :/ Personally I think thats unacceptable. I know that they can't just give all the items back to this person if they can't find a record of all the items that the characters had and heck if my friend can remember them all with the 4 of 5 70s they had, I just think a gold reward, especially that small, is silly.

I don't even know what I'd do in this situation. Other than tell them I find it to be unacceptable and hope they could come up with something better. :/

Well. The other night I made [Swiftsteel Shoulders]. I like them. They're a bit shiny and a bit not-tankish (read: Not at all) but I like them. Much better than my leather DPS shoulders of icky doom. Here is what they look like:

They don't match the rest of my armor but an upgrade is an upgrade, no? So when I'm not playing Naissa or Azizi in heroics but I am playing WoW, what am I doing? Leveling my tauren warrior alt that I posted about. She's not very big yet but she'll get there. So if I've already got a warrior, why am I leveling another one? Well...Naissa is a night elf. Yuck! And I wanted to try something new. Better animations and better racial ability, coupled with the fact that its horde (For the Horde!!) just make it all the more appealing. I'm having issues getting used to leveling a warrior since I've been spoiled by leveling a lock, hunter, and mage since leveling Naissa to 60. Can't be as bad as leveling a paladin beyond level 40 though. Can't be. *shudder*

This is what Cowssa (Not her real name!) would look like with Naissa's gear:

See? Much cuter!

So as I'm sure a lot of you noticed...and probably the reason most of you are even here...I use Entrecard. To find out more about Entrecard and how to get started using it you can click here.

One thing about Entrecard that was a bit of a hassle was that for those of us with more than one blog you had to have seperate accounts for each blog. Not so anymore! They've just come out with a new feature that lets you use one entrecard account for multiple blogs. You can read about that here.

They've also come out with a new e-book thats good for helping new people learn how to use entrecard and also for helping everyone get the most out of entrecard. You can find it here.

What is it and why do I love it? It allows me to devastate whatever my mouse is hovering over. So I just move my mouse over the nameplate of an enemy and hit the mouse-over devastate hotkey. That target gets Devastated and I don't lose my current target. Happy times. It makes multi-mob tanking verrrrry easy.

#show Devastate
/cast [target=mouseover, harm, nodead] [] Devastate

What else can you do with this? Well, you can make it do Sunder Armor instead. Why is that useful? Because if you do something like this:

#show Sunder Armor
/cast [target=mouseover, harm, nodead] [] Sunder Armor

You can use it on sheeped/trapped targets and not break the CC. So lets say you're tanking Fel_Orc_9000 in Ramparts and Fel_Orc_9001 (ITS OVER 9000!) is sheeped next to you. If you mouse-over the sheeped mob's nameplate and use the above macro, you'll sunder it and build threat without actually doing any damage to it and without breaking the CC.

Ok what else do I have? This next one is pretty much only useful in PvP and only useful if you've got Tactical Mastery. (35/23/3)

#showtooltip Spell Reflection
/cast [stance:1/2,equipped:Shields] Spell Reflection; [stance:3] Defensive Stance
/stopmacro [equipped: Shields]
/equip Merciless Gladiator's Shield Wall
/equip King's Defender

Replace MGSW and King's Defender with your weapon and shield. What this macro does is switches you to defensive stance, puts on your sword and shield, and casts spell reflect. If you're in battle stance it doesn't put you in defensive stance since you can spell reflect in battle stance.

Another PvP macro:
#showtooltip Disarm
/cast [stance:2] Disarm; [stance:1,3] Defensive Stance

This one disarms if you're in defensive stance. If you're not in defensive stance it puts you in defensive stance, and pressing it again will disarm.

This is as much for me as it is for you because I respec often and sometimes forget where some of my points go. >.>

Naissa's Specs:
My Tank Spec: 11/7/43 -
I keep the one point in imp taunt because I mostly do heroics and things were taunt isn't completely worthless and it might seem small but it makes a pretty big difference. Or at least big enough that I can notice it.

My PvP Spec: 35/23/3 - I like this one because I like being able to instantly spell reflect and disarm. I feel blah not being able to do those things. I used to use a spec that had more in commanding presence at the expense of blood craze but I've recently started to enjoy having blood craze. So its pretty cookie-cutter really.

My PvE DPS Spec: 17/44/0 - Standard fury spec really, not much to say.

Azizi's Specs:
Current Destro Spec: 0/21/40 - Pretty sure I screwed up some of the Destro talents but it works for the like...3 things I've used it for.

Affliction spec: (My favorite spec to play) 45/0/16 or 45/5/11. I think the former is better though.

Arena Spec: 22/38/0

Astrithr:
Holy Spec for like everything because Astrithr gets no love from me: 41/20/0

I did another heroic on my lil lock yesterday. It was quite fun. Nothing as interesting as SL, just plain ol' slave pens but it was still fun. Once again I was quite surprised at the damage my little gnome can put out. No interesting loot to report (Stupid overgrown bog lord didn't drop his pretty trinket)

So for those new to Naissa's Rage, you may not be familiar with Azizi. (Or Blahzizi as the jealous haters call her.) Azizi is my little gnome warlock.

There she is. Pink pigtails and all. The hair is usually hidden by her Tier 4 helm though. The problem with Zizi, aside from the fact that she's a gnome and therefore has some insane deathwish thing going on, (Believe me, she does) and her voidwalker (Graz'gak) is simple even by voidwalker standards, is that nobody can seem to say her name right.

So my question to you, dear readers, is how would YOU say "Naissa", "Astrithr", and "Azizi" and for that matter "Arael"? Also do you have a character with a name that people have issues pronouncing?

Folks, remember, I've got a contest running. Go HERE to read about it! Send in your entries people!

Yesterday I dusted off my warlock, Azizi, and headed off to Heroic SL. I was SL/SL spec for PvP, and when I raided on that character she was affliction (45/5/11 or some such) but I felt like doing something new...So I went shadowbolt spam spec. Yay! Yeah so I probably don't have the gear for it but it was fun and my damage output was really nice actually even though I'm not sure on the finer details of playing that way and I think 1-2 points in my spec are off. Oh wells.

One of our fabulous healers asked if anyone was interested in heroic SL. I didn't feel up for tanking it yesterday. I'm sick at the moment you see. NyQuil induced goofiness and all. So we guilt tripped our Main Tank into going, the worst hunter in the world (Ok so one of my favorite hunters. We just make fun of him. A lot.), and said huntard's wife. I said I'd go on my warlock.

So we get out there, get buffed up, start pulling, etc. My damage output was surprisingly nice. This made me happy. We got some spirits shards and some large prismatic shards, Tank Boy got himself a nice gem I believe, and other than that theres was nothing. Until Murmur died. He dropped [Kirin Tor Master's Trousers] which, with proper gemming, will be a fairly nice upgrade for me. Yay me.

It was kind of nice to do a heroic and not be responsible for everyone's life. >.>

In other news I've started leveling a new alt. A tauren. (Mooo!)

Folks, remember, I've got a contest running. Go HERE to read about it! Send in your entries people!

I have an interesting problem with my WoW. I use GMail and as such I use the GMail Notifier to alert me when I have new emails. I also play in windowed mode. From time to time I'll have an issue where my WoW goes from running nicely to very sluggish. The first sign that this is happening is that whenever I get an alert that I have a new email the Notifier's Tray Alert Thingy (NTAT!) will get stuck. It will come up over WoW, causing my FPS to drop from 60ish down to 2, and it won't go away until I tab out of WoW. If I move my mouse down to my taskbar long enough for the little tooltip to come up telling me what window I'm hovering over, my framerate drops down to 2.

This happens without warning.

This has happened to me about 3 times now, and now I think I know how to fix it. The first time it happened I just lived with it until I had to reinstall WoW and forgot to save all my settings. The second time it happened I lived with it until I decided that I wanted to start all over with my UI and deleted my Interface/WTF folders. Then I started WoW, happened to get an email and not lag horribly. So I figured there was something in my WTF folder that was the culprit.

Five days ago I began to experience the issue again. x.X This time I made backups of everything and deleted all of my addons and everything under the "Account" folder inside the WTF folder (World of Warcraft\WTF\Account) and then began downloading the latest version of all my mods. While I was doing this I started WoW to see if the issue was fixed. It was not. So I went through to see if I had missed anything and thats when I saw the config.wtf file in my WTF folder. I deleted that and then started WoW again and...Problem solved. Then just out of curiousity and the desire to be certain, I restored my backups, minus config.wtf, started WoW and...no issue. So I guess I'll just be deleting that file if this ever happens again and just restoring all my settings manually.
